Another Display Problem

Have any of you seen this before? Its annoying and i haven been able to figure it out.

Im using XSI 3.5, Win XP in a Dell Inspiron 8200, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 64Mb with the latest driver (6.14.1.6292)

graphics card … get a quadro for ur laptop

and if your still having snags get on the phone to softimage support

I forgot to say that a friend has the same exact laptop and although we have tried to match up all the settings, mine of course, doesnt work.

Im miserable ($) so i need to fix this… hehe

yeah its a common problem discussed alot at XSIbase.com if your short on cash or just don’t want to spend any the first thing to try is reinstalling xsi. if that dosn’t work you can play with which drivers you are using. It happens with mostly ATI cards and I’m a huge ati fan so it kinda disapoints me… you could try a software upgrade to a FireGL card seems to work for most peopel but it causes a performance hit in games… Can’t say i have much exsperiance with it though as I’m running a geforce 2 here. crossing my fingurs that it gets fixed soon though cause I want to upgrade to a 9800 for HL2

No, this is not a graphics card problem,
it is a microsoft bug in the far east language packs.
You have to uninstall the languages by going in the control panel and uncheck-ing the check-box displayed here :

Use this atached file and you will not have to unistall the East Asian Languages Package.

Man I’ve been working with that crap on screen for the last 2 days, thank god I know were everything is! Now if I could only get my kitchen Light to work%@$@^&
