Hello people.
I am new here and I have a question that bugs me quite a while.
I have a scenario where I need an aerial view of many many small buildings, very simple structure… just cubes, doesn’t matter because I will have a camera flying over them and quite near (with motion blur) but for the long time of aprox. 4 to 5 secs. I say “long” because you can imagine how many buildings I must have to the scene if the motion is very fast…
Now what I did so far was to create with the MoCloner a grid of 50x1x50 buildings consisting of small cubes and a random effector to get away the “battalion” alignment. The result was quite the one I needed. But the thing was that I have to make many and many of them grids to fill the entire area to fly fast for a long time. It REEALY DEVOURED my computer’s resources. So I tried to make a grid, then make it editable, connect the cubes to a single polygon and then copy the polygon and paste it next to it until I have covered a rather satisfying area to fly over. I surely felt better but it was until I reached to the 5th copy when I could hear my PC coughing blood… So I believe there could be another way maybe here … Any help will be gratefully accepted.
Thank you in advance.
P.S. I did not even felt necessary to mention that it took me 23minutes for a signle frame to render with GI.
