Hello everyone, I’m an animation student who is about to graduate in December. I’m wanted to start working on a 3D animated film since I wasn’t too happy with my 2D thesis. I just went to SIGGRAPH with my classmate and I didn’t realize how big the market was for VR right now. I figured I’d construct my next film for VR, I’m just not sure how I would go about this. I’m assuming I’d need to develop my skills in a game engine like Unity or Unreal?
What would be an ideal engine to work in?
Could I animate characters/cameras in maya and move everything to the game engine?
If anyone has experience in making content for VR I’d appreciate some feedback.
