Animating Deformers on a Spline Wrap

As the title says, I am trying to animate a deformer along the path of a spline wrap. Can a deformer be animated along a spline warp? I can get the bulge deformer to work on a box and I can get the same box to move along a spline wrap.

A simple test animation would get a box and bulge deformer to move along the same path with the box a little in front of the bulge deformer. If the box stops, the bugle deformer runs over it and effects the box. Any ideas how to do this? Is this even possible in Cinema 4D ? :hmm:
