Hi! There!
I am new to 3D modeling and animation and I would like some help please

I am modeling this tree harvester head in 3Ds max 2010
I and I would like to animate it also with textures, scratches, etc

Could you please tell me witch is the general and easiest way to do it?
I mean I have tried to uv unwrap in 3DSmax (with out much success) , it seems to me way too difficult and time consuming
Instead can I use zBrush to poly paint? And then uv unwrap in ZBrush that I have seen in videos it does it automatically just paint where you most likely want the seams
Also there will be some hoses on the machine, how can I make them move and flex with the rest of the moving parts?
