Anatomy Thread of Rebecca Kimmel
Hi There
WOW ! ive seen all of ur works before…but still… WOW !
u should update this thread now…ok?
CBee, purb36, Queensoul, NOOB, bumskee, shyam,
Thanks a lot you guys! I definitely want to do more drawing, but won’t get the chance til after the CGWorkshop.
Thanks for all your encouraging comments. I agree, I need to update.
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
Hmm, not sure if these are even worth posting
hng, please don’t say things like that or I run the risk of taking that seriously and then I would not be able to post anything for such a long time that by then we will have brain-to-forum-interfaces…
The unerring smoothness with which you make use of seemingly aimless strokes to establish things like the hand in the first sketch is enough to intimidate people like me.
I think I will have to go and do more of the tutorials you posted. Would be such a waste to not make use of that information… if it is bound to get me anywhere near this craftmanship.
ah, did I mention I do like the sketches? Here’s some forumspeak to clarifiy matters:
omfg, it’s amazing - u rule !! eek!
Rebecca - you have some really wonderful work in this thread - I am going to keep my eye on it!

Mr. Mu,
May I say that your avatar just gives me infinite amounts of joy? It’s adorable! Thanks for the kind comments.
LOL, thanks for the internet speak…heh…let’s just say that not too long ago, I didn’t know what ROFL meant…
Gord,
Thanks a bunch! I’m psyched you’ve got your thread up now! I’ll be expecting lots of work from you, mister! ![]()
15 minute sketch from today ~ thanks to Queenie for setting up the 15 minute sketchathon thread!![]()
Achieving more focus…
PS, exactly 15 min.

Hi rebeccak
I’m very impressed by how you get your strokes to flow so gracefully in all directions, I find it very unnatural to stroke in some directions especially right from left, I truly admire you for your ability draw curves that look so natural.
just out of curiosity do you draw whit your shoulder, wrist or fingers?
keep it up – David René.
David,
Thanks for your nice comments!
When drawing traditionally / large format, I definitely use my shoulder more. When using a wacom, definitely more of a wrist / finger thing.
Update from the 15 min. thread: (WIP)

Wonderfull dynamic pose, Rebecca! I so much love your drawings of the human figure in action, it’s like the energy of the “sitter” (rofl) is transmitted in the drawing.
Thanks Margie! You’re doing a fantastic job with the Beginner’s Drawing Workshop, BTW. :applause: Thanks so much for all your efforts! :wip:

I will print this out and stick it to the wall beside my monitor to warm me up from within and keep me going…

ROFL!!!
Focused on a smaller area…experimenting w/ Painter and PS…15 min + excruciating amounts of time to transfer files back and forth on a crap machine + create gif…
15 minutes in Painter, separate image:
Really nice sketch of the Shaolin monk! It has sense of speed and dynamics. This is really great to see because I have been studying Shaolin martial art myself, so it´s also inspiration - thanks for that :).
JoshT,
Thank you!
Didn’t get a chance to post to your thread yet, with comp. probs! Definitely will later tonight.
raptor|3D,
Thanks! You know, I had some computer probs yesterday, so I have been unable to respond to your post ~ but you did a BEAUTIFUL drawing which is to be highly commended ~ I’m super impressed!!!
Keep up the excellent work!
Cheers,
