[left]Well, after succumbing to a bit of peer pressure, I’ve decided to post my own Anatomy Thread ~ lol, I was starting to feel like a total hypocrite for encouraging others to do so, but not doing so myself, so here t’is.
Many of these pieces are relatively old and a majority of my work consists of copies done from Master Works ~ Drawings and Paintings.
My favorite artists to copy / from which to learn are: Michelangelo & Rubens in the old school department, and Odd Nerdrum in the contemporary department. I owe a lot of what I 'know' to the inimitable examples set by these artists. I figure, even if I catch a bit of what they were on to, I am in better shape than just on my own.
I'm hoping that this thread acts as a bit of a clearinghouse for me. I frankly have not done a ton of my own personal work since starting the Anatomy Forum, though I have done much more in the way of drawing and painting than I otherwise would, through critiquing and assessing others' work, a process which I immensely enjoy. :) It's an unparalleled experience to be able to share my particular passions and interests with a great group of people here who happen to be interested in the same things.
Alrighty ~ enjoy! You're comment & crits are always welcome. :)
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
