Agreed with Johan on the site design. Something I haven’t seen before and that is truly a very good thing.

I was always a figurative artist, my art was concentrated on studing a female form and anatomy, and this time I challenged myself in animal motive,

so I like to share the hole process of making my Bull sculpture in plaster:

Hi …Samo …

REALLY BEAUTIFUL WORK …
I just watched the making of the bull…GREAT…:applause:
I haven’t sculpted anything in realife for a few years…watching you work makes me want to…very inspiring…
QUESTIONS…What kind of paints are those that you are using to get that metal look.
Do you have to bake /fire the sulpture at any time during the process ?

ANYWAY…I just wanted to say…THANKS for sharing.
I really like those reliefs you did also…just starting to try those out myself…great fun so far…
It’s a real pleasure to see your work, and I hope to see lots more of your work in this thread…VERY INSPIRED, AND ALSO VERY INSPIRING…
TAKE CARE
Glenn

hi, Glenn
love to hear my work is an inspiration to odder artist, thx

  • there are many ways for achieving the metal look, in this case I’m using gold and silver pigment mixed in wax medium, I’s very easy to control the amount of coat with your fingers and you can polish it to get more shine look

  • I didn’t have to bake the sculpture - it is made of plaster (plaster of Paris) and same details are finished in air draying clay, but I did made the tail, horns and feet from polymer clay (Fimo) which I baked in the beginning - those parts are likely to get broken when done in plaster.
