Anatomy Thread of Queensoul

#101

Woohoo hubby agreed to pose again. Only incident was when he got up without warning in the middle of a pose, got himself coffee and a snack, came back to his position with coffee and cheek full of snack. I looked at my drawing and at him and I was like ‘wtf’. But other than that he was a good model.

Charcoal and some chalk on newsprint.

Oh this just in  weeeeeeeeeeee

hey hubby looks good!
Queenie you really are progressing fast
Next time when you colour/fill spaces with rough lines, try to follow the shape of the object (you can keep it rough though).
This will make it look less flat and give it some volume (dark and light part of his jacket).
Also I think the zipper should follow the curve of his body. The way it is now (kinda straight), it makes the jacket look flat too.
You really manage to put a lot of character in your drawings

Great advise. Thanks Marlon;

#104

Can you give me an example? please
*You knew I was gonna ask that, right? :stuck_out_tongue:

Hehe, yep! Goro did a hilarious speed painting which I thought looked like me in a posting frenzy…:D…so I usurped it! :scream: I still have my old one though…speaking of which…yay, you’re old one’s back! :bounce:

#110

Yeah, I couldn’t recognize myself between all the posts LOL…

#111

Me neither! I have to do double takes all the time :scream:
And it was compounded by the rumor of another art2 on the board

Some quick studies from yesterday.

#113

Study for an oil painting. (After I work out the hand problem I am having.) :stuck_out_tongue:

#114

Hi…QueenSoul…

Really Really…LIKE…that last one…GREAT FEELING captured…you might make hand wedge
shorter, and show wrist, and a little forarm…maybe in more forshortened view…also use
shadow in that whole area to creat depth…can’t wait to see this one painted…should
be … BEAUTIFUL …A lot of big improvements happening in your works lately…A real pleasure
for me to SEE them happening… :arteest:

TAKE CARE

Here is another study of the same subject, also for oil painting. Any suggestions for improvements on this one? Thanks in advance
