Anatomy Thread of Anand - 2D/3D

Hey Joel! thanks! I have no definite idea how it will turn out, but I do want to make it look something like a finished work. … probably texture it if I can figure out how, and replace the geometry hair and mustache with “real” hair in Maya.

Hey Kasana! thanks! the first one you mentioned is actually Upesh… You were probably misguided my the small goatee! The last one is of course Divij!.. I am glad you could spot some “divij-ness” in it!

Hey Tessa!!Thanks for dropping by… and for the kind words!

Hey Razz! Thanks, buddy!

Thanks a lot, Amrinder!

Hey Martin! Thanks for dropping by, and thanks indeed for the eye images! I will sit and draw all of them at one go one of these days!

Hey Andrew! Thanks a lot, man!

A bit more work on the clerk today…

#962

Hey nice model. I would let him sit on a bench, or on a special formed stone so he looks more like a philosopher. If you put him on a desk he just looks like a guy having a software problem.

#963

Hehehe!! Roman!! That’s just what he is!! He is a bank-clerk trying to figure what happened to this guy’s pension account!!

#964

hi anandog,… first time i saw ur sketches here … n very impressive.

#965

Heh I just bookmarked that link myself here at my home pc.
No time to draw those images yet though (gotta run off to school if I don’t want to be late)

Lovely sketches Anand!

#970

good work!!
and useful link! :stuck_out_tongue:

#971

hey anand

great work with your studies, thanks for linking this page

about drawings…hmm- i think that maybe it will be good for you to start drawing without so strong lines, contours… put more value without lines- i hope u can understand what’s on my mind

keep it up

cheers

#972

yay !! :applause:more fans for tewfic ! i had stumbled across his works a loong loong time ago… back when i was really dumb not to bookmark or write down his name ! and almost everyday after that for years !! yes, years i have been tryin to find it again . . finally did . and sent him a mail to thank him for the amazing work . . and hoped he did not mind that i did not take prior permission . ok . . i have no clue why i wrote this here !! yenniways.,
awesome work . i really like the ear in the first one. . the lines do not have your usual flow. . of the 5 min ones
love the expression of the second one . .

#973

lovely sketches anand n poses are really good

#974

Yes lovely work. Beautifull poses, are you going back to the pencil Anand?

#975

Its really looking damn good. especially the first one… i love the arc of her body, very femenine:banghead:. The pose of the second girl is really good… i dunno if u call it the fore-shortening or anything else though( i am really bad that kind of a judgement) All that i know is that theres something very tricky about achieveing that pose.

Tewfic El-Sawy’s photographs are obviously unmatched, glad i came across them…thanks anand!

#976

forgot to mention…the z-brush work of the two men in the indian government office is turning really good (as usual)!

#977

nice sketches! i like the first one most.strong lines and a great feel in it. thanks to sanpaiya and you for the great link. what  an amazing photography!

#978

second one is cool. But Right hand looking broken.

#979

Hey Johan! Thanks!

Hey Robin! yeah! Awesome photos!

Thanks for dropping by, Alice!

Hey Daniel! Thanks! Yes, I got it. Its a good idea.

Hey Santhosh! Thanks for that link, man! I just fell in love with the photos and those people in them!

Thanks, Jesu!

Hey Chris! thanks! hehe! The pencil is my life-long friend! …though I do neglect it sometimes due to laziness! A long time ago, my music teacher said, if you can’t sing a tune, then there is no use trying to play it, because then your playing will be a just a mechanical exercise (I think this doesn’t really apply to western music, where the vocal and instrumental ranges/styles can differ a great deal) Likewise, I believe that if you can’t draw a thing, there is really no point trying to sculpt it, because then your sculpture will be lifeless(just my opinion:D… may not be true all the time. ).

Hey Preeti!! Thanks for dropping by!

Thanks a lot, Ratheesh!

Thanks, Kasana!

A bit more work on the old man… not there yet…

#980

hey Anand,
this one…if finished :stuck_out_tongue: … should end up on front page  on a lighter note,i thot the first render was a caricarture to me at start don no why :hmm:
i saw ur last sketch post too.comparing them with previous…i felt that ur more comfortable with blue pencil then with black,is it?

best regards
KM
