Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 2 - The Torso

#581

@NR43, that one took some time and I really wanted to try and get some skin texture practice after the statues. Found a load of fun and a great learning curve joining in with this thread. Loving the pencil work on 101

I thought I would try my hand at Photoshop painting before we ran out of time.
I’m no noob at PS, but I usually use it for, you know, fixing photos and such!

I still don’t have the ā€œfeelā€ for drawing on a tablet. It is too much like a Sharpie on glass.
Anyway, enough of my whining:

Good work, everyone! This has been fun!

Everyone has been making leaps and bounds of improvement on here. Great job everyone.

Well, it’s 11:45pm here in Florida, so I quess I’d better post this to get it in under the wire. Number 6 by my count. So many torsos so little time. This has been a great experience learning and being inspired by so many talented people. I plan on either continuing with the torsos or go back at do some heads from the 1st lesson series while I’m waiting for the next one to start.
Thanks Rebecca- I’m looking forward to the next one. Which body part is next and when does it start?

MICHELANGELO Buonarroti
Christ Carrying the Cross

zhuzhu- Your linework and form in your red pencil drawings is fabulous!

ceresz- Your last three are some of the most unique in this tread. I love the way they are glowing.

dunkelgold- Your St. Sebastian…wow. That’s all I can say.

Cheers everybody, see ya on the next anatomy thread.
