#016 conté on newsprint, 24 x 36 (61 x 91 cm)

I’m trying to speed it up, and rip through these. I think you learn more by doing 20 1-hour drawings, than 1 20-hour drawing.

Sorry I’m taking so long with these. Been rather busy with my senior thesis storyboard and character design class.
RobertoOrtiz: I like the muscle defination in your painting.
Womball: very nice, keep them coming.

Hey guys,
It’s phenomenal to watch the amount and quality of work pouring in - this is just a quick and friendly reminder that we’re approaching the ‘official’ deadline for the Workshop, which is:
The end of the day (wherever you are) this Saturday, October 14th.
As with nearly all Workshops here on the Anatomy Forum, this Workshop will never actually close - people who started later than the official open date are welcome to continue posting here or simply to use the reference posted to the beginning of the thread to create their own Master Copies.
As always, I encourage those who have not done so to create their own Personal Sketchbook Thread here:
Personal Anatomy & Sketchbook Threads
http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=200
Big thanks to all participants here and I look forward to seeing everyone’s final push!
Cheers,
-Rebeccak

I feel a little sad when Rebeccak remind the deadline, I am afraid of not seeing so many good works here anymore:sad: . But I think I will continue anyway, until the total 50 are done, maybe in my incoming sketchbook. Hope I can see you guys then!
Sorry about my English:D
LaleLoh,
Don’t worry, there will be plenty more Workshops on the Anatomy Forum - generally speaking, there is usually always one going on, or one coming in the near future.
Trust me, I love to see work and interaction here as much as everyone else!

Also, we have this ongoing Workshop Series - in fact, the next Workshop on the Anatomy Forum will likely be an Open Figure Drawing Workshop, followed in the future by another Anatomy Lesson Series Workshop:

These torsos are a bit of a mix - just playing around with different materials and techniques.
the last 4 are quick (~20 min) studies using a bit of colour and pen
cheers all and take care
a.
I haven’t posted for a while, since I’m traveling. But you have all been extremely prolific - a great variety of work/technique to learn from and really noticeable development in everybody’s work.
I started my first “real” drawing with my new Wacom and Photoshop, but couldn’t finish it before I left. I decided to post it now so I’ll at least have one more torso :). Since I was struggling to figure out what all those bumps were supposed to be, I blocked out the muscles groups crudely and planned on erasing them after finishing shading.
