omg that looks like much fun!
nice work so far ![]()
It looks great so far. 34"! Jeez I wish could have worked at that scale. We had to do ours at a 12" scale. I don’t think you could detail the hands, well easily. Also it took me a month to figure out how to use the paring knife for sculpting. I was using it backwards.
Thanks for checking out my progress everyone :), I will reply to all of you guys soon, just wanted to add some bridgeman studies I’ve been doing.

Fantastic to see these additional studies, wish more people did full pages like these - you learn so much from them!
Yeah Rebecca, these studies are really great exercises. I plan on doing most of the bridgeman book. Its not just about drawing them, I really try to understand what I’m drawing. The muscles of the torso, leg, structure and of the nose, etc.
Rebecca, I also ordered the Aanatomy hogarth book, and the anatomy Atlas, I really liked what you had to say about studying from multiple sources in a thread over in CA. More studies to come when I get the time to them. Thanks for stopping in everyone.
Yay, Bridgman is great! Studying from him myself now and it’s a pleasure to see someone else doing that too. Keep up with these.
And maaan, what a sculpture. Wouldn’t say no for doing such on my own. Must be awesome for learning anatomy, eh? A question here, where will it go when it’s finished?
Sorry guys for not replying its finals week and I’m very busy. I’ll be updating my sketchbook soon. Thanks for viewing everyone.
NR43: Thanks
Thanks everyone for your replies. The semester just ended for me yesterday and I’m very excited that its over so I can now focus on areas I need to. Thanks for being patient. I’m very excited that my ecroshe model is complete. That truely has to be one of the best classes I have ever taken in my life. The class was taught by an amazing instructor, Stephen Perkins who is going to be selling his ecroche model in the spring. I’ll keep you all posted when its released. His model has much more information than the freedom to teach anatomy model which I have and want to sell now my professor is producing one. thanks for viewing everyone.
Now back to the anatomy Crusade!

yes your looking at it, the complete Ecroche, What I ride folks. Amazing amazing class. The battle maybe won today, but the war of understanding human anatomy continues with no clear end in sight. Thanks for viewing everyone. Will be contiuning bridgeman studies along with Hogarth and others.
Hey Razz, whats going on, To answer your question. I’m definitely going to be keeping it. Its going to go in my room. In addition I’m going to be purchasing my instructors version when he releases it for sale.
Hi Darktwin… Congratulations on finishing your ecorche!!.. it looks awesome!
are you making a cast of it? plaster/fiber?
ananpg: nope, don’t think I’m going to be making a cast of it at all. I’m going to keep the oil clay the way it is. I’m going to buy my instructors version when its on the market next semester. I’ll keep you all posted when that happens.
Cheers
Big congrats on completing your model! I hope you’ll post pictures of your instructor’s, too, if you purchase it, that would be awesome as well!
It’s great to hear how much you’ve learned from this, and that it was such a great class. Will you be taking another course with this instructor?
Happy Holidays and New Year!

Rebeccak:My Ecroshe instructor is still in the works of mass producing his model for sale. I’ll will email him and ask him about it. He should have a site up, but I’m not sure if he does yet. I’ll be sure to post images once he has a site up.
CgIcecube: I sure hope it does, haha, I’m learning that class is only the beginning. Its a never ending cycle of learning and taking in. I’m contitent with knowing there will never be an end to studying, because there is always something to learn.
Sorry for my lengthy dely in posting. I have been drawing, and posting my work a CA, but I really like this community also and I know I can get a lot of input and feedback from all the artist here. The anatomy crusade continues!!!
