Anatomy and Concept Thread of depleteD

Ah ty for the feedback Alessa,
I’m doing so much drawing these days to the point thats its affecting my grades in school to iron out my porportion problems, I read so many drawing books but its the prac thats the most help i find. I try to apply the rules but they dont work as good as just takeing my time and looking, measureing. ect. Im starting to take more time, draw slowly, until i get the proportions down, then go back to my gestures.

Well heres the new line up

Ah ty rebecca  I’m always down for info on how to improve my skillz. Kind of getting discouraged i dont seem to be progressing to fast. I will check this out asap.

#26

hey andy, those are fantastic! especially the colored ones of the females during your progression stages there. one of my all time hinderences is thinking up believable poses which you seem to get quite naturally

cheers

Andrew,

I think you will like that book a lot! In it, he describes a method of blocking that makes drawing figures much simpler in terms of the basic lay~in. It’s a fast, easy read, with lots of lovely pictures.

Not finished to the point I would have liked. Trying to work with biggest brush possible

#33

Hey Andrew,

I really like your last piece a lot ~ the loose way you’ve done the background is really nice. I think in some ways you might benefit from departing a bit from a more linear to a more blocky / values / mass oriented style such as you are exploring in this last piece ~ it seems to be working really well for you.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

#34

Ah ty as usual Rebecca, I am planning to do that for the next couple images

Nother warm up,
Concept for characters clothing in my journey begins challenge

Hmm, her face seems a bit animeish ~ are you going for a more cartoonish look? Her right forearm seems small and her left arm long and thin. Perhaps reworking the basic gesture of the figure might help.

#39

Ah thx for the tips rebecca, Im really trying to learn the basics. That one was kinda rareity these days, dont do too much figure stuff from my imagination…one day tho

I still gotta finish that ODW gah!! so much on my plate

And updates done, over 125 gestures now.
