Anatomically correct Arthropods

Hello after seeing Hellfire’s spider, I was think are there any good… I emplasize good references I can find for modeling anatomically correct insects, spider.etc. All of the anatomy books in my library are all veterbrates!

Well I am unable to find good reference for bugs exoskeleton… so anyone can contribute.

I don’t know myself, but my first question would be: Did you read through the information in the references forum in here?

I’d try an academic bookshop and look in the Zoology section.

But failing that, some of the best reference books I’ve bought in the past have been from Dorling Kindersley’s Eyewitness range. Essentially children’s books, they often have more detailed, and useful, photos than those in the adult section. Plus, every page is a full colour spread. Go here for some pictures from their Insect book.

yea, actually in this forum there’s a “reference” subforum with links to image databases and all.

Also, if you register on wetcanvas.com they have a user built reference database which contains a section on insects.
