Hey everyone! I’ve been working on my first serious attempt to do a proper game environment and I think the modeling is going well, but there are more than a few things beyond that in which I’m not quite sure how to handle.
One of which is UV layouts. I know how to use the UV tools in Max, but I’m not sure what the best way to “use” them to be efficient and limit waste.
Another would be in regards to a good approach for making use of tiling textures for bricks, roof tiles, ground, etc., but still have more sporadic detail that doesn’t tile along with the primary texture. Floating geometry? Separate UV channel?
To be honest, I need all the help I can get, but if anyone has more info on the above, I’m sure that would go quite a long way!
