Alternate Image Hosts to Photobucket / ImageShack

#1

Argh…when Photobucket ceased to allow (or reinforced a rule against) nude imagery (no matter how artistic) being hosted through it’s service, I thought ImageShack was the answer. But ImageShack has now started to remove images too.

For an Anatomy Forum, this is somewhat of a major bummer…argh.

Are there alternatives that the majority of people can use? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Cheers,

-Rebeccak

If you can get past the name, fapomatic.com should work.

Fapomatic.com is a free image host. Store your adult images here and link them on message boards using our thumbnailed views and show pages. We serve up millions of pictures daily. Help us get the word out to all your forum friends that Fapo is the way to go!

Thanks. I feel dirty hosting ‘adult’ images - but hey if it works  -

Thanks for the link!

Any other alternatives in case fapomatic goes puritanical on me?

Would a suitable solution be presented through the use of Flickr? I don’t use it myself, it’s just the first thing that came to mind.

#5

Hmm, I don’t think you can post inline links through that…but thanks for the suggestion.

With a name like fapomatic, that would be the least of your problems.

Ah, the joys of asking a simple question, and getting a simple answer…I need a family friendly site dammit! lol - I can’t advertise this - hey kids! Go to fapomatic.com! cries

You know, you can get your own hosting space really cheaply, my website costs me less than $100us a year, including a domain - it saves all the hassles of 3rd parties getting stuffy about what you post.

Before going to fapo (which can also link you to the site itself with very adult banners), check out http://picturedumper.com/ . I noticed others using this to post up adult images, but when I checked the site out, I didn’t see adult ads being strewn-about. You may want to read their FAQ (I can’t from work to confirm with you since the site is blocked as being “storage and backup”).

I also have several dozen image/video storage sites in my faves at home. If no one else responds, I’ll link you with others when I get home in 8 hours. Also, what I googled for you.

flickr is great. absolutely free, and has great tools for organizing and sharing photo albums. and it does let you uplink images to other websites, no worries there.
and it has a great community of artists, 3d and 2d and groups for sharing images.

Just curious: Would Michangelo’s David be considered for photobucket? That has nudity…

Manifestant and poly-phobic,

Thanks a lot!

Xevious,

I believe they would delete it. Photobucket will delete anything containing nudity, artistic or not.

The following will pertain to non-adult advertised image-hosting sites, unless noted:

HideBehind: This has both options for Adult and standard (movies and images… this link is to the image-hosting). I highly recommend to NOT choose ADULT as your image being uploaded. This will result in hardcore adult advertising on the site page holding the image. Since they give you only url linkage, I would link to the main image by right-click>properties and get the address from that. Please view the TOS on the bottom of the page.

Picture Dumper: Highly recommended for the Anatomy Forum. Allows mature content in reguards to “nude posings, erotic pictures and hardcore content”. This does not have any adult advertising that I have personally witnessed. Please read the TOS.

Unfortunately, the upteen links I have faves for either 1) have adult advertise url linkage or 2) absolutely no nudity allowed. So, I hope these two (especially the PD) will suffice for now.

FWIW, FLs get special hosting deals with the CGS, as long as you’re willing to have a moderate space/bandwidth limit and do your own backups…
