This is my first attempt at making serious textures. The head is 1500x1500 diffuse, bump, and specular maps, made in photoshop.


not bad, but I think you need more highlight and shadows. You might want to tweak out the bump, spec, and diffuse a bit more until the difference really starts to show. It might even be good just to show the differences between all maps applied and just the color map.


Sure thing. Here’s just diffuse:

And here’s bump and specular, with a gray diffuse:

I guess it might look like it, but I’m not being lazy and reusing maps for more than one material property.
