Aim At Constraint

#1

Hey guys,
I have been playing around with rigging a bit in EI (a personal project) and have a problem with Aim at constraint.
Basically, I cant get a bone(lengthwise) to aim at a null. I know that this has to do with axis orientation but not sure what to change to solve this.
the setup for simplicity sake, a null at say is roughly in the center of the world grid but high off the ground plane.
then a bone anywereyou want and select the aim at constraint. It doesnt point the bone, lenght wise at the null.
But if I use another object, say a cone, it points directrly at the target wth no fussing…
what am I missing here?
I have been using the Auto Look constraint but it has always bothered me that I have not been able to use the “aim at” for this sort of thing.

Did you try to adjust the Aim vector in the Constraints dialog? It seems to work here as expected.

Atlantis! thank you sir! You know I feel like I tried every combo possible in that dialog box but I somehow kept doing it wrong, probably impatiently! Ha.

Thanks again
