very nice work
I understand how you and lunatique would get fed up with “paintover controversies,” but even these are compliments of a sort, and it’s clear that your art is widely enjoyed
I hope you feel better soon

Hi Linda!
Thats insane good work!!
Jag avundas din skicklighet och produktivitet =) Grattis!!
Well I usually don’t post in art forums but I wanted to say that I’ve always loved your artworks Linda
You’ve been my inspiration for a long time and I consider you one of the best digital artists around, both for your artistic talents and also for the wonderful stories behind your works
For those who have bought d’Artiste… I’d like to say “me too!”
I’ve read your profile and studied your tutorials and have no doubt that what you do is 100% original.
I can’t wait till your dark fairytale book comes out
Keep up the wonderful work!
Yep, I’m agree with Rowena. In fact, if you’re a good observer, you can see little details that give you clues for to see that those portraits are digital paintings. Because I’m beginning in this type of artwork, I observe every detail of the masters, and I think I’m pretty good seeing and distinguish the digital painting and the photomanipulation, 'cause I do both. And please please please dear Linda, keep sharing with us and in this forum your great ART hugs
Yes and too long time behind a computer.
The light of the screen disturb the brain and the sleep.:wise:
As always these paintings are fantastic!
And the woman with the tall legs is really pretty!
I really appreciate your realistic touch, and the softness that you used to keep the focus of few things.
This is an hardwork to do what you do, and I hope that the critics by fews wasn’t to disturbing for you.
I absolutely love your style of work, I found your website ages ago and fell in love with your art then, and these 2 are truly exceptional works of art. keep up the good work and please let me know when your book is going to be published, I would love to see it.
Hi Linda,
Your work takes away my breath for a few seconds. I just checked your website and realised I’ve had been silenced by your art previously. Great that you share your techniques and are willing to put your time in tutorials, I’m definitely going to study them. On the photo-part… no one could get enough reference so I just decided to take more pictures myself to study light, form etc etc…
Thx for the mindboost, take care and hope to see you later.
Hello little faery !
I was so sad to see your forums closed, even if the activity was decreasing, so I’ve been searching for traces of you everywhere, so I’m happy to see you again. I discovered the first artwork on your website and here are a few comments.
First of all, skin tones were indeed a problem in your works and I’m glad you’ve been working on it for the winter. And your work pay. But I noticed something strange on the neck. It may be the background interfering there. Also the hand suffer a transparency making the wall texture come above and the arm make it even more obvious. And the shoulder limit is rather curious but then it depends if you want it to be realist or stylish.
That for the little mistakes that shows that you are indeed tired. Rest well and don’t stress about your postponed book, your health is a priority.
For more serious mistakes: the light on the the face seems really different than the light on the hand. The hand makes a strong shadow and have high contrats (noticing the orange-red appearing on the limits of shadows) but the lips makes light shadows on the teeth. Although I’m not an expert, I think the light applyed on the hand should have more effect on the arch of the eyebrow. Maybe the face have not enough contrasts.
Nonetheless this is an awesome artwork and you’re still improving yourself for our greatest pleasure.
Stop playing with strawberry sirrup and go to sleep!
whoa, you have dreads now? looks damn good i must say.
and the new work rocks too, but you got enough asspats in the last 16 pages already. =D
hope all is good with you Linda.
Insomnia’s a bitch, and so’s jelousy- but it is well within possability to have everyone watch you paint a piece, using the very unique Open Canvas. Hell, even if it isn’t to prove a point that would make great viewing!
