I am trying to use After Effects for some compositing of a single frame project rendered @ 4000x3000 pixels in .tif format. Sometimes I am lucky enough to get the beauty pass to load, but most times I cannot even get that to load let alone the separate render passes without AE giving a memory error. I have 32GB RAM and plenty of swap space, but I cannot figure out how to tell AE it can use more than the default amounts. I usually use Photoshop, which does not give me any trouble, but, being new to AE, I cannot figure out where to allow more memory to be used. Any help is appreciated!

Start AE, open your preferences, go to Media &Disk Cache or Memory & Multiprocessing n order to adjust your settings.
OK. I did that and will have to wait to see how it works once I get the current project rendered out in all of its 12MP glory. Thanks for the reply!
