Another update here. Still without weapons and various other gubbins. Starting to look like a tank now, whoo-hoo!

BTW Dene, what kind of paint-job is this thing going to have. Is it the same ‘chameleonic’ paint as the other hardware in the Aegis universe? This way it could change camo patterns, show command signals etc… just a thought…

OK…here is my latest modelling progress concerning moonbase defensive structure. As you most of you notice, there are some hydraulic absorbers at the sides of the building…this is to reduce earthquake shaking…i will post more details concerning this system and its full “scientific” function, at our official forum , later or tommorow. ( including zoomed and detailed hydraulic model ).
Now…there is the overall moonbase building model :

The concept seems nice decar…so what program are you going to use to model this? and you should be aware that you must have a direct approach to the moving part of this walker so you can animated it easily :slight_smile:

theres 1 problem and 1 potential issue though…

Problem: the ammo cant actually travel down th barell (if you look at where the holes at the end of the cannon are and trace a line back, youll see what i mean)
Issue: the cannons may need to be able to angle upwards to about 45 degrees

I was thinking about that problem while I modelled it. Since the shells are quite small in relation to actual cannon tube they could be disributed into the correct exit in the kind of grill-screw-thing before the muzzle. What you think? :shrug: :slight_smile:
