Adding textures/shaders to gradient index

Hi guys,
General question here. Is there a way to add a material to a gradient index (ie the color slider thing on a gradient) in EI? It’s cool to be able to have the ability to blend textures in a gradient slider. I wasn’t sure if this was supported in EI or by a plugin.

I hope my description makes sense.
