adding a random variable to a paramater


i suspect this is one of those simple things that are right in front of me…

but is there a way to add a random, constantly changing value to a paramater?

(e.g…make the mix value of a merge node randomly go up and down)

in 3ds max this is a noise modifier or noise controller



hit the help menu -> documentation -> knob math expression and look for the noise or random function
