Actionscript in Flash

yes that would be cool for all of us that don’t know much actionscript… i don’t know many but i do know like the basic ones like:

stop
gotoandplay
gotoandstop

i wasnt totally sure myself, but if we can id be willing to post up some tutorials on actionscript on subjects people need help with/interested in etc.

ive got 4 years experience with actionscript as i work as an e-Learning content developer (well did until i got made redundant, but thats another story), and will share as much of the bit and pieces ive picked up as i can if people are interested

i dont know what should u do and also dont know if my answer is worth to be attended
but i think u should make a mother swf
and then load the selected ones into that
then with a loop function do the printing command

Yes I know that I must load or from external files or from library pages that will be printed, but when I attach them to MC or loadMovie to MC they disapear on printed files, I don’t know why :-(((

Can you give me some code how to load external swf, or from library into mother MC and when I will go to print it that they don’t disapear?

tbh, i have always avoided printing in flash, because its buggy and a pain.

well, I have all this already, and you are right, printing selected (in movie trough AC) pages from Flash SUXX realy bad!
But I must finnish my work next week, and I must find out how to do it.

you’re going to hate me for saying this, but your best bet to “grep” a text file or HTML file is probably going to be getting PHP to integrate with Flash. a classmate of mine found it relatively easy to make the two work with each other- i had very little knowledge of PHP at the time so i didn’t have the opportunity to take up the technique of mixing actionscripting and PHP. perhaps i’ll find something in the next few days, as i’ve decided to sit down and learn PHP.

i know asp and i know how to write a search engine with that
its quite easy
but i want to write a search engine for an autorun CD
i want to use the action “load data” or anything that can help me through this
if anyone knows how i can accomplish this mission i’ll be thankful if he awares me of it
