Acting Scene

#1

I’m working on this acting scene, and would be great at this stage to get some feedback if you see anything that’s not clear or that works well… Thank you!

It feels good so far. My biggest suggestion is to think more about the context of the situation. Too often in animation shots you see a character sitting generically on a chair or standing in the middle of nowhere. Who is he talking to? Why is he sitting on a chair? Where is he? Thinking about these questions can inform your acting choices and help you add bits to the shot that make it more unique. He’s talking about meditation - can you work that idea into some of his gestures or his movements? As the shot is now, you could switch out countless different dialogues. Specificity is what will make your animation more memorable.

Keep it up

Hey great tips and definitely tru, I will keep this in mind!

My intention with the meditation dialogue, is that this guy, he’s way of thinking/meditating is to pick his nose… hehe yes silly

Thanks Alan!
