on way
Above & Beyond - Vehicle/character- phil
my idea is slowly brewing, so far…
I’m thinking a farm theme, with the contraption having been built from junk that you would typically find lying around on a farm. ie, tracktor parts, the front of an old ford truck etc, etc.
The engine is made up of 4 pigs with wings,
The pilot is a mad salivating cow.
Just initial thoughts, i’ll try and post a sketch very soon.
Hi guys, just had some news that work is looking to make a change from MAX 4 to Softimage 1.5 (and then upgrading in the near future to 3). So I thought I might use this challenge to learn XSI and I was wondering how many other XSI users there are out there who can help me if (when) I have probs.
cheers guys and gals,
btw, sketch is on the way, didn’t have time at work so I’ll do it tonight.
That’s a big change! (well, not really, the learning curve is not too steep from max to XSI… not that I’m an expert or anything!!).
Your idea sounds cool phil! Mad salivating cows are always cool.![]()
I hope it’s as daring and colourful as july’s entry!
did some concept sketches last night and here they are.
The general idea is that a mad cow has put together a machine from old parts from the farm. hence the front of the old truck (which is likely to change a lot cause I don’t want to just do a flying car.) The wings are made from old corrogated (spelling?) iron (not sure if that is an international thing or if it’s only really australia, but for those who are unfamiliar - it is sheets of iron with a wave through it, it’s used for roofing and outerwalls of barns and sheds etc.)
The engine is made up from a sheep that has been enslaved by the mad cow pilot and is under brain control from the collander on his head. He can’t get away because of the barbed wire fence around him.
Waddya think?
That is completely and utterly insane.
In which case, I love it!!
I like the collander idea!
This looks like one to watch out for. Will be interesting to see how you will pull it off.
I´m sorry I cant help you with the transition to XSI. Changing software like that is kind of scary. Not knowing exactly where everything is. shudders
