This looks just like the surf board thing off of the new Treasure Planet movie from Disney, just before anyone says anything, I am not accusing you of anything - just had to say that. Anyway, I really like it.

Thank you for sharing those images. I think you should aim for something a little more graceful. Now it looks to much like a boat. Make it larger and more slender.

well to be clear it is a boat i canceled the surfboard cos it doesn’t fit then the boat doesn’t have a cabin so it stays flat.

the skin of the boa will be similar as that of a fish then it will get a wooden top deck and well tomorow a other day to work on it.

lol. The shorter one looks best. But if you were to enlarge the sail on the longer version. I think I would go for that one.

well yes I think I also would go for the shorter version. well one thing abouth the longerversion which I like is that the part behind the cabin is longer so I think I play some more with that. And maybe teh point were the boat reaches his tickest aprt has t o be moved backwards. well tomorrow I got time to try and play some more.

its ok, i just read over my post after i read what you said, and your right, i didnt understand a word of it either:p , i was rushed when i wrote it:blush: , what i meant by “your” surfboard was that it made it more unique, not like a regular surf/windsurf board, now im going to go look at the pictures since i now know what the difference was, ok now i see the difference, i like the one on the right, the longer one, and i think the one on the right seems to have a sail more proportional with board according to the sketches, i know that sounds fuzzy tell me if i messed up again:p

I added the skin as fas as I got I made them 1 by 1 and positioned them 1 by 1. thsi si got I could not find a way to get tehm right with aray and spacing tools. Someone knows a other way? or beter?
Then I added the steering blade and chanced th e steer. some more stuff …
You could try placing them on a flat plain and use “free form deformations” to bend them into position.

I must say that that is a excelent idea Clanger.
Simple and fast. I still consider myself as a beginner max but I know ( don’t know how to do it) that with UVW maping you know texturing faces and stuff you can unfold them to a flat object. I meight lern it form the texturing for dummies by leigh )
then I can make the skin flat in the shape of the unfolded skin and then use your trick.
this might do the trick don’t you think?

For a second time I won’t be able to finish a challenge before the deadline. Man I whish I had a PC in my own room in the city were I study, but I don’t.I went to a 2 week lasting introduction camp of a student comunity ( or how it is called in english). this is why I couldn’t work on it.
I’ll finish this one aswell as the last one before I start a new challenge. good luck for the people who will finish it and I must say that there is already promising work here. :applause: :buttrock:
