:bounce: Hi …i just now saw you wip …superb:thumbsup:

Can u post a back view?

#51

Dravix: those arms had to go. i had modeled those arms useing the available polys and edges from the torso and it caused me some problems. so today i built brand new arms as a completely independent model and grafted them into place.

DimitrisLiatsos: i’ll get you a back view soon.

Cactus: thanks onec again.

Termlimit: ive been playing with 3d for about four years using the web and barnes and noble as my guide. i came upon this site one day and my jaw dropped  at the amount of raw talent that roams here. i thought i should stick around.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!ur wings are better than mine!GRRRR:D …amazing job!

#53

Looking great…still…hehe.

I’ve been wonderin’ as I’ve watched this progress…
When you model characters, is it normal (for you…hehe),
to start at the feet and work your way up?

I usually go the other way…

So is there like some universal inspiration that caused you to go the route you did, or is it one of those things that…oh…just felt good at the time so you went with it?

:buttrock:

Cant wait to see the head!

:applause:

Keep tearin’ it up!

#54

i read once that a good way to ensure that you finish a character is to start with the less important areas and work “up” from there. the reasoning is, with characters, people tend to put the most care, and and time on the head to ensure that it captures the feel of the original concept, and once completed the rest of the character would get less attention and in some cases none at all. so i thought i would give this method a shot.

Well…tascitus…I believe you nailed this one right on the knoggin’ !

Makes me all giddy just wondering what the heads gonna look like:applause: .

I think I’ll give my next character a shot using that method…

Thx for the info…:buttrock:

Wow great stuff…
love the concept your going with here and your modelling is top notch…!!
great work can’t wait to see more…!!

#57

just did a few tweaks today, added her gloves. i’ll knock out the head in the next couple of days. then it will be time to rig her and the wings and build some scenery to place her on.

#58

Lookin awsome, cant wait to see more…:applause:

#59

hey hey…looking very fine… gee, I hope they take your design and make a flying IT from it… would be fun to zoom around town with this rig…haha, I just got a mental picture of buzzing the neighborhood for the first time…

4 years eh? you be doing good… When I grow up I wanna be this good ( I am over 40  )

thanx for sharing… can hardly wait to see this project complete…

AMAZING!!

I’ve got a crit though, … those legs and that but … they look male to me. But still amazing

#61

CHRiTTeR, but just think, if a woman had legs like that?..Oh man!:applause:

#62

started the head today and also adjusted the leg proportions a bit.

chritter: thanks for the crits. let em fly of ya got em. the only way to improve is to get honest opinions.

cactus: wasnt there a james bond movie where the enemy female agent used her legs for evil? or were you thinking of something else?

gidgit: thanks. of btw, “I dont wanna grow up, im a toys are us kid”…

#63

tascitus wow really looking good… is she going to be a bald biker chic? pony tail? i am really interested! hehe… looking amazing really keep it up.

#64

closing in on the end for the pilot model herself.

termlimit: she has short hair under her helm. her early trials of the wing rig ended in a painful lesson on why long hair and running motors should not be in close proximity.

#65

ok, the pilot is pretty much done. i’ll do minor tweaking when i have time. my focus now is to incorporate the wings and pose her.

That probably explains why the has no armpit hair either, eh?
