About weekly screenwriting on assignment? R U in?

#21

The point I tried to make is that each assignment brings its own rules, and that I was making up some rules for creating an assignment.

Hah I completely got you wrong on that one indeed, I remembered that you wanted some notice before we began and that you posted somewhere that you wanted to start in two weeks… that means to me two weeks notice (I think that is a good title or what :stuck_out_tongue: ) so apologies to you, soz

Finally if everyone is getting restless to start I’ll write up the official first assignment and post it in a new thread. That way we can start this weekend. Is that a plan?

So future assignments should be able to do 1 page scripts or 12 page scripts… but for now we will stick with the 5 pages. I think everyone is okay with that.

Okay! I’m off to make it official, will make the post tomorrow before mid-day local time (GMT+1)

That okay with everyone? I will post a link here as soon as the MSWC#1 has its official thread!

yay! lets’ do it!

Allright its ON!

I made a quick banner yesterday evening with some screenwriting tools (actually more like playwriting tools. Including pictures of Shakespeare and Sophokles (some obscure classic script writers :stuck_out_tongue: ) If anyone has a cool idea to put some more into it, like a micro-scope or magnifying glass to symbolize the micro part, please talk to me and I will change it round some more.

Finally I’d like to make the distinction between this thread and the MSWC thread:

MSWC is for the current challenge, wips, story ideas you want to bounce off of someone, questions regarding the restrictions, concept and deadline.

Errata, organizational stuff, thoughts about the banner go in this thread. Also if you find something isn’t really working or has to be explained more indepth please post that in this thread, unless it is questions regarding parts of the current challenge.

I hope that is not too vague, just to prevent clutter and me having to move posts

mmm… me again… been trying to open the link 4 a while…is it technical difficulties or just me?

#26

OMG I am so embarrased… I accidentally copied the url without removing the existing “http://” form the textbox… so naturally the browser gives errors.

Fixed the link!

BTW I almost finished my outline in the train yesterday… try and keep up :stuck_out_tongue:

hey matsman

when you mentioned ‘make it believable’ and gave references to heroes and x-files…i find this a bit out of place…

what exactly do you mean by BELIEVABLE? i dont think some people would look at heroes and X Files and call those believable.

the fact that you mentioned mystery series means that we are only limited to something along the lines of muder mysteries/detective/thriller genres. so if say, I, wanted to do something about ghosts, then i basically couldnt right? cause that would certainly not constitute believable.

i dont mind it if we are limited to only that kind of genre but i just wanted to clarify that this is what you meant by BELIEVABLE.

also the rules specify that we should not write any more than 6 pages. but then it also mentioned about not writing more than 12 as people have other commitments. just wanted to know really…is our limit 6 pages then? if so, Im fine with that but if we have the option to go up to 12 i might consider it. can you clarify this for me please? thanks mate.

Hi good question kadetkebab however I feel this is clearly something that has to be answered in the MSWC thread so I will post your reply there and answer it. Okay?

Just to make the difference between the all over rules… that have to do with all MSWC from now (this thread)
And the current running MSWC (the other thread).

Thanks for asking that question… it is very important.
