About My Graphic Card and DF

Hi i am newbie DF user

Post my Hardware and OS list

Windows xp sp2

Ati Hd 3400 seris / core duo e5200 / 2G ram

When i open Df …its become …Check my link

I am sure that i have already install the NEWEST Graphic card Driver!

and use ATI X300se video card, I still can’t use it yet…

but I can use the DF in the other PC with NVIDIA FX5700 video card
after update video card driver.

I don’t know why I can’t open the DF on my PC with ATI video card ?

have some solution?

why i can’t use?

Ati is not good idea for video/3d apps or for DCC software. It have serious problems with its opengl programming since many years old.

I remember that I was tryout Fusion 5.1 in a computer with a ATI FireGL T2, some years ago, and I was experimented problems for drawing contextual menus, and crash Fusion with frequently.

However would be to hope that ATI solved problems in its actually products, but I don’t know.

Actually Nvidia is unfortunately the only one manufacturer of graphic chips with a solid opengl programming, almost good compromise in compatibility terms with major apps.

Nvidia, Intel, Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk… long live bussines monopoly!!!
