A slideshow of sorts

#1

I’m not really for a tutorial here but just a practical reality check on wether or not doing this particular example in flash would be hard or easy or not. If there is a tutorial for this that would be cool.

I need to have a slide show of sorts that later in time the user can simple add images to without editting the flash movie itself.

The interface is a fake “3d” wall as if you are in a circurlar room and are standing in the center looking at one side of the wall. You have two buttons and cause the wall to pan left or right. The panning motion is an animation sequence but the images have to somehow be linked to follow their picture frames in that sequence.

Will this require genius level scripting or is it basic?

It shouldn’t be that difficult to do. Just use an external XML file with a listing of the images to use. Then if you want to add new images or change others, simply upload the images and edit the XML to reflect what you want.

Umm that’s the easy part… any thoughts on the panning image gallery idea?

Well,

What I would do is make one moviclip with the picture frame in it and then set the linkage so that you can attach it with actionscript.

I tell you what, send me your source files and I will code it for you.
