A SKeleton Problem

Hey all,

I posted this on another board, but figured I’d give CGTalk a try.

I’m using The Setup Machine for My Skeletons, and rigged the model properly, but I’m having a problem animating the walk cycle.

According to the A:M Demo, modelling homer simpson, when you pull on the hand bone and press n to move it, the entire arm should move along with it. However, when I pull on the hand bone, only the hand bone itself moves and detaches’ the hand from the rest of the model…

Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

Looks like the hand bone isn’t a child of the forarm bone. Drag it in there in the pws then use the “attach to parent” icon to make it IK.

Also, bring up your Poses window and make sure the Animate All (or whatever they call it) is set to “On”.

check your pose slider window and make sure the necessary constraints are turned on. maybe switch the IK on one of the arms to on and see if you have the same problem.

the turtle looks great! you’ll enjoy the TSM2 rig, its got alot of great features.
