A late intro

Forgot to intro myself here.

My name’s Arild Wiro Anfinnsen, Indonesian-born, Norway/Switzerland raised and currently Sydney residing CG jack-of-all-trades and a forum leader for I think 3 years now.

I started work in games 5 years ago (Warthog [now Gizmondo] and MicroForte) and switched to feature/TV VFX a bit over a year ago at Animal Logic, more specifically in the small 3ds max team on the Farscape miniseries and now the US Cartoon Network CG bumps.

Totally! I remember that tutorial being my homepage during my first few months of learning 3d. I must thank you Wiro, your tutorials have helped me a lot to progress as an artist.

I’ve gotta agree with the previous comments about the head tutorial… it’s the best I’ve seen, and it’s a couple years old!

Wow, thanks for the great response on that tutorial. It motivates me to write another one now, hehe. Maybe I should get my ass in gear over the weekend. But there’s that pub I know…

I still post occasionally at CGTalk but it gets drowned out quickly by the masses :slight_smile:

Hey Wiro,

i’m good mate. We must definitely catch up - If there’s to be a sydney chapter then it sounds like as good an excuse as any.

I’m still in Sydney, possibly moving towards the end of the year. At the moment I’m working on the Age of Conan MMOG for Funcom, as well as the occasional TV ad which has kept me busy and quiet on the forums. I haven’t had any time for personal work.

Maybe we should get a few people together? You have my number or at least contact details?
