I recently finished the 1st draft of a feature length screenplay. Although I have been working in Film and Video for over twenty years, I’ve only written a few feature length scripts that I might consider for sale. I was comfortable with my basic script format, AND I was confident with my narrative flow and story structure - but, when it came down to working on draft 2 - I sought some advise on how to make my script as marketable and readable as it can be.
I came Across this book:
“HOW NOT TO WRITE A SCREENPLAY - 101 Common Mistakes Most Screenwriters make.”
Written by Denny Martin Flinn, and published by IFILM publishing.
I found the advise in it invaluable. It is really not a book for beginers, but it is a great reference for those editing an existing story.
