Hello everyone,
My name is James Schmidt, but I go by my middle name Chris. I live in Illinois, a bit south of Chicago. I’ve been… well practically living in this forum for a few months now. I try and keep up and post in the most awesome free-for-all bonanza of stylishect. ect. thread, but I thought maybe a real introduction couldn’t hurt.
A bit about me, I’m 23. Just now getting into CG professtionally 
, but I’ve been living it in my spare time for 5 years now. I love 3D, but have been developing my 2D skills thanks to CGWorkshops, the instructor, Philip Straub and my wonderful classmates in it.
I am constantly in awe of what comes out this forum. It has surely changed my life. I have learned more from these pages then I have from all my formal schooling. I’ve been able to chat with some of the most fantastic people that would otherwise be inaccessible to me. I even found my first job (and current) job in the field on this website!
I like it here, I think I’ll stick around for awhile

I went to school at Washington University in St. Louis for a while, and loved it, but eventually transferred out to Cali to go to Art Center. Midwestern people rock! They are super-nice, I miss my old friends from there!
