a 3D test in Flash

Hello,
just a small test for a 3D engine into Flash MX
Here (minimize the window)

Very cool!, did you use the new drawing commands in MX to do that? Here’s an old 3D engine I tried in 5, it uses duplicateMovieClip though, I need to rebuild it to use the new drawing functions: http://www.lewiscommunications.com/employees/mattcross/beam/cube1.swf Mouse rotates the cube, arrow keys move.

It’s adapted from a Director 3D engine I built. Here’s a game I was working on in Director (haven’t touched it in a long time though!) : http://www.lewiscommunications.com/employees/mattcross/beam/Beamrider.dcr

You’ll need Director Shockwave, version 8.0 or higher for the above link. I used Director’s Imaging Lingo for that one. I wish Flash had more bimap-level functions like imaging lingo - copying images in memory, checking and setting individual pixels, etc.
