cool thx chris ,
just saw the f100 in your cg portfolio … look sharp

i am now looking for a isometric picture of a rear chevelle badge , the one that go on the trunk
or may be a true type font ?
i did a lot of ““googling”” … but found nothing that i could use as a modelling template
can any one help me ?

#22

was finally able to find some usable reference …

#23

toc…toc … is this thing on ?
test 1…2…1…2…3 test test …
no reply ?
is this thing awessomly good… or may be so abysimal bad … that nobody coment it ?

here another one …
not sure about the shape for teh back of the blower … may be a little bit too thin … ?

#24

done on the outside … next step would be the inside

here another rendering experiment

Nice work on the branding typo.

Pimping the ride comes along really great. You should be concept designer for MTV’s “Pimp my ride” tv series

#28

Yea dude, great series. Lovin it. My only nit pick is the tires look pretty cartoony. Little degrading, but could just be me. Even at that it’s not a big deal.

harrgghh nooooo … who need tv and videogames in a cars ?
they pimp cars …for kids who dont have any money to drive a dcent vehicle … handle them over a 20 to 30 k $ cars … how do they expect them to pay the insurance for it ??
the maintenance ?
anyway … this show is so wrong and flawed … to put a plasma tv or a ps3 into cars … is wrong

hahahahha … thx a lot for your brutal honesty …
yep …look like …heuuu just a test :-)_
the final render would eb in the same style as the other cars in my portfolio … glossy and shiny

#32

fixed all my geometry issue tonight ( mostly ngon )
worked a little bit on my paint shader …
and adjusted the smoothness of my lines …
hope to be able to taakle the interior this week end … and then would have to look into texturing ( stripe , tires …may be a little bit of dirt and such )

#33

Looking Great I like it.

You need some tweaking on wheels. Somehow they do not reflect the power of the car.

#34

You really did a great job, Chris ! Flawless !

And I particularly like your “cartoony” renders !

#35

simply great

well…so do i … buti would end up , rendering it in the same style as the other cars … just to keep the unity

simply great

#37

very nice christophe!
looking cool

#38

aber viel cooler!!!

#39

Maybe a smaller, flatter sidewall on the front wheels…? Would also lend to a more raked suspension.

Maybe a smaller, flatter sidewall on the front wheels…?

done !! … good point …look better now … at least i think

did some good progress today …
next step … do a liscence plate , tweack the tires ( too black right now )
then create my mental ray renderpass and mask …

tweacking for optimal rendertime
then finally prepare my flow for post process in fusion
