The brute force way will be to store both the thumbnail and the full size image on your webspace and put html in the post here.

Something like that. The problem with someone who doesn’t know how to program, giving you programming instructions, is that programming is so unforgiving, you may end up having to learn it yourself somewhere else anyhow.

There are tons of basic html tutorials on line.

OH, and I like the revised view. I think we would be able to get some great detail out of the faces and characters that way with a good lighting setup. We could even get a lantern in the boat with them if we need it.

well i guess u could… start on it and post shots of it as you work and get C&C and we can bounce ideas off people.

I was hoping that we would manage the general outcome of the project here, maybe post some update images, but at the same time all of the members would get crits on their assigned piece from the community. Maxumum learning, maximum community involvement.

im not to good with stories or modeling to a point of usfulness, but, to be honest, dont stop writing that story, i find it every interesting, please, keep going.

Glad you liked it! I originally wrote it as just a short story, though making it longer is an idea… I just got a big helping of humble pie from my writer’s workshop, and I’ve considered at least adding some more to it to maybe clarify some things. If you have any crits or comments I’d be glad to hear them.

Thanks, that’s a really good modelling reference. Probablya little too heroic, over athletic. I need that kind of reference but a little less muscular.

3d.sk had some nice ancient costume references. May I suggest using woman 3 for the face and head, then choosing a costume reference? Maybe some artistic period paintings or drawings and any real modelling references that you can find?

I’ve started on the male crew member. I have not made much progress. My approach for this will be to make an athletic male blank model which will serve me in the future for making male characters. From it I will scale, push, pull it into shape then do details.
