here is for my start
i sculpt the bones (but some parts are sculpted befor for my study)
i think its a better way to sculpt on bones and then i`ll pose it…

3D Sculpting Workshop - Movement
skulll-monster - so the torso was sculpted now? Well knowing your speed it probably was
Looking forward to more then…
i have to ask this: do people here work? have a day job? how do you have so much spare time? …my wip is still in max,i’m trying to finish a basic base mesh
don’t worry itayg - there’s plenty of time
SOme people work, others are students and yet others have plenty more time… also if someone’s a freelance they can manage their time differently
I’m working fulltime and I’m totally NOT done with my base mesh either
hopefully will be by Friday fingers crossed I’m glad there are those who started sculpting though
KEEP GOING FOLKS!:bounce:
intervain…thank you buddy !
this workshop is a great way to learning more and sharing your work for other users critiqyues…for body basemesh i rather to use a downloadeded basemesh ( before from tweakcg forum as i remember…theere was 2 files that they shared…baseman_shoes,baseman_toes)
you must spend a time to making the basemesh…after that sculpting in zbrush or anything is very fast…
Hi Glenn, Thanks for the suggestion,
i always tend to overlook the hand & the feet :banghead: i am going to work more on it for sure.
& i totally like your style. looking forward for more. Keep working!

IMTI…THANKS.
…Don’t feel alone, when it comes to doing the feet or hands too small…pretty common error…I used to do the same thing myself, until Rebecca pointed it out to me in the second workshop in this forum…ever sinse then, it has always stuck in my mind, and I always point it out when I see it in other peoples work
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR NEXT UPDATE…![]()

Glenn

imtilongchar - really nice progress there! I’d go down a subd or 2 and work on a lower lever a bit more… it’s hard to get nice big shapes on higher levels in zbrush
Glenn - nice progress! Really cool looking vase!
Anyone else ready to begin their sculpting?! C’mon
Let’s get things moving a bit more ![]()

Good to know you r in.
Cheers!
First I would like to say great work to everyone so far in this thread. Some cool progress.
Anyway, it has been difficult finding time to work on this so it is good there is a long deadline.
Here is what I have so far. I wasn’t sure if I was just supposed to do the figure or the entire statue so I decided to just bite the bullet and work on the whole thing. I can’t wait until I work on the eagle.

Oohhh this is another great workshop!
I won’t have the time to partecipate but I’ve already ordered few stocks of hidratating phlebos cause I know I’ll drool all the time
Good work to all !
great start FistOfGod!
i have a few questions… how does you’re base mesh look like? did you start with a T pose model and then used transpose to repose the character? sorry for the newbie questions but its the first time I’m working on a full human body model in zbrush.
thanks,
itay
I actually started with zpsheres to build a very basic mesh which I exported to xsi and added some extra detail and changes. For example a few extra edges, and a better setup for the inside of the mouth. This was all in the T pose you are talking about. I created a rig in xsi and moved him into a position I liked and then imported that new mesh into zbrush. You can use transpose to position him but I’m still getting the hang of it and creating the rig was faster for me. I should say that I did use transpose slightly after I started working so I guess I actually used both but it was pretty minor.

Anand - great… can’t wait
FistOfGod - Excellent! Lookig forward to it develop
I, obviuosly, had to change my mind about what I want to do [wouldn’t be me otherwise ;)] so I started a new base yesterday … will finish today, I think, and start sculpting over the weekend! Can’t wait :bounce: cheers everyone!
Intervan- thanks for the tip :lightbulb , will definitely try to sculpt the detail up in the lower division level.
