3D Character Rigger - 6 Week Contract - Work Remote Possible

One of Australia’s leading animation companies, Liquid Animation, is looking to fill the role of 3D Animation Rigger.

The following points are considered essential for the role:

  • 3 – 5 years industry experience
  • Fluent with Maya’s inbuilt skinning and rigging toolset
  • A demonstrated portfolio of up to date industry quality work as a rigger
  • Work remotely whilst maintaining a consistent level of productivity, meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve.

What you will be doing:

· Transposing joints from a fixed rig hierarchy onto varying character designs and proportions whilst maintaining appropriate arcs of motion

· Sculpt or modify facial blendshapes from an existing character asset to match technical and creative specifications

· Weight / Skin characters in an efficient manner whilst maintaining deformation integrity and achieving a high degree of visual fidelity.

· Ensure that rigged assets meet standards and specifications with respect to appearance, aesthetics and technical benchmarks.
