3D Character Artist

Morphee Interactive develops on XBOX 360 and PC a FPS next-gen and has its own proprietary engines and tools.

The company opens a new studio in Thaïland. We are looking for an exceptionally skilled 3D Environmental Artist. The ideal candidate has experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments. A solid grasp of form, color, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets is essential. The Environment Artist must have skill in art task as well – modeling, texturing – and be well-versed in related tools --3DS Max, Maya, Zbrush, Mudbox Photoshop, etc.

Requirements

[li]Works closely with the Lead Artist to establish the aesthetic and technical standards for character art on the project.
[/li][li]Makes a significant direct contribution to the creation of character art.
[/li][li]Communicates technical guidelines for character art creation and runtime implementation to the team.
[/li][li]Modeling and texturing high quality 3D character models and associated props based on 2D designs and concepts.
[/li][li]Collaborating with Art, Animation and Design leads to create dynamic character designs in a broad range of styles - developing and visualizing those designs through traditional and digital 2D art.
[/li][li]Strong knowledge of human anatomy, with an eye for accurate proportions, form, and details.
[/li][li]Ability to model clean, readily-animated seamless polygonal
[/li] characters from concept art
[li]Capable of creating any aspect of a 3D game environment including modeling, texturing, and lighting, architecture, world objects etc
[/li][li]Establishes a well-organized, focused work environment for the character art team.
[/li][li]Ability to plan, schedule and anticipate problems before they happen.
[/li][li]Clear understanding and implementation of technical guidelines and constraints.
[/li][/ul]
Highly desirable skills

[ul]
[li]Superior eye for light, shade, color and detail in creating texture maps
[/li][li]Be able to combine ideas and methodologies of environment production to create an efficient, streamlined pipeline that other environment artists can follow.
[/li][li]A fluent knowledge of a major 3D software package (3DSMax preferred) and Photoshop.
[/li][li]Excellent lighting skills.
[/li][/ul] Plusses

[/li][li]Have 2+ Years of relevant game industry experience with the ability to work within technical constraints and generate top-quality art.
