hey this is another sketch I did in 15_20 minutes ,I learned this from mullins.I really like this techniqe,if you take a while with it you can do a matte without using any photo.

What a resource here! Its taking me forever to go through the tuts but totally worth it! I was hoping folks would put up some more tuts about rendering black and white k-line art (for comic books) in Photoshop up here…

Most important, don’t get overhelmed by all the information shared in this thread but rather take action and START PAINTING. It’s easier said then done and I experienced this myself. You don’t get better just from reading
