2d Motion Vector Stretch Problem

Hi all,
here’s a link to the video showing my problem: Motion Blur Problem

Both passes line up perfectly, EXCEPT the motion vector pass appears to be missing some information, as shown in the attached image.
I’m rendering EXR files at 32bits.

Any ideas?

So my setup is working correctly.
I ran another test with more instanced particles, but a different simulation. These particles are ONLY dying when they pass a certain threshold in -Y.

SO, I’m thinking (after reading from Duncan) that the issue lies in the particle dying and the blur trying to retrieve movement information from a dead particle. That’s what might be giving me the streaks.
