We need a 2D artist to do ca. 70 color illustrations for a rich-media historical website.
The client is a major cable network via Invioni Inc (Invioni’s website), an innovative web company that won last year’s Webby for a Cultural Institution. The Webby was for a similar project on the Lakota Indians (Lakota Winter Counts, see the website).
The time frame is 6-8 weeks (starting ASAP), so the ideal artist should be able to produce these illustrations at a rate of 2-4 hours apiece. They don’t need to be amazingly detailed, but they do need to be historically, perspectivally, and anatomically accurate (we will provide mounds of reference material as well as rough layouts). The artist should be well versed in composition and color. We like sketchy, atmospheric, and cinematic after the style of Craig Mullins and some of the artists on your Daily Sketch Group.
Show us your stuff… (website portfolio is ideal)
