We are looking for 3D modelers and animators, and 2D compositors with knowledge of AfterEffects, Flash or Combustion to work on a short film. We’re aiming to be done by December, and submit it to festivals. There will be a small amount of compensation, but mainly you will recieve something really cool for your portfolio.
Here is how the director describes it:
Experimental short mixing film, animation and graphics to
propose a highly stylized representation of the interplay between world
events and the pursuit of happiness on an indivual level.
Looking for: Artwise animators to help build individual elements which
will be composited into film.
It’s exciting because we want to incorporate all different kinds of animation and still have it read well as a whole. The film is storyboarded out, and we’re ready to jump into production–ideally finishing by early next year. We are hoping to get a number of talented people who want to express their individual styles in the context of the piece. If you live in or around NYC, it would be great–if not, that’s ok, too–there’s email and FTP.
