24fps to 25fps output is jerky..

Hi,

I have rendered an animation in 720p 24 fps and want to create a SD pal version in Premiere Pro CS4. My question is, should I leave the frame rate at 24 in the project and simply output to pal 25 fps, or should I reinterpret the footage to 25 fps before I output to a pal video codec?

The reason I ask is because I have created a pal version merely by outputing to a 25 fps codec however the results seems to be slightly jerky in certain sequences (as if additional keyframes are being added to break up the previously smooth movement). It has occured to me that this may be the particluar pal settings when transcoding…

any help would be great.
