Has anybody noticed problems with Maya 2018.1 and the World node? Basically if you have multiple genotypes then individual genotypes in the node keep disappearing, generating an API error.

Sorry about this, it seems the problem is with the mesh avoidance objects.
Curve avoidance objects are working fine, but the mesh ones are throwing errors - though they still appear to be working in spite of this. I’ll look into a fix as soon as possible.
