Director/Cinematographer/Editor here who admires the VFX work animators do from a distance. Hoping one of you kind souls out there would lend a helping hand to a project I’m currently editing. It involves taking 2-3 seconds of the artist shot in a Cyclorama setup (white room) and transforming him to resemble a Dreamworks style 3D animation.
Quick backstory: Small budget. Even smaller (Read: nonexistent) post production budget. Tried Fiverr. Learned lesson.
I’m admittedly naive when it comes to VFX so if what I’m asking for is the rotoscoping equivalent to painting the Sistine Chapel, rather than berate me, please just educate me on the process that the work would require. That way I’ll be better equipped to handle this situation going forward. If you just can’t resist the urge to shame me, I ask you wait for the video to release on YouTube, that way I’ll at least get a view for your comment
