1 Object 2 Shaders gradient under V-ray

Hello everybody :smiley:

After a vigorous search on the internet without any success, I come here for some help and assistance from your guys.

I wish to reproduce this effect, meaning a gradient between 2 shaders on 1 object. I know how to change the color of an object gradually, but not the material.

I use V-ray :slight_smile:

Perseverance paid off and I found the solution to my problem. I have to use the standard 3ds max material called Blend. It’s easy to test it out with a cylinder. To have a Red diffuse material (N1) and a Dark Blue material (N2) with a Gradient Ramp Map as the Mask.
Set the UVM Map to planar, rotate it if needed and voila :slight_smile:

It’s better to use VRay’s own blend material called VRayBlendMtl.
